A childbirth course for individual couples, tailor made 

My name is Christine Eckert.

I worked 25 years as an independent midwife in The Hague. I was the founder of practice Mundo Vroedvrouwen.

As a midwife, I always tried to support women with caring attention and their needs. This also means to inform them well, to empower them and giving them confidence in their own body.

After 25 years of experience I quit my practice. Now I use my experience to prepare pregnant women and their partners for childbirth.

My experience shows that couples at peace in their own environment benefit much more for preparing for childbirth.

I also provide coaching sessions in the HMC Westeinde for anxious pregnant women who are under the care of the gynecologist.

A tailor-made preparation course for childbirth in the comfort of your own home

Sessions tailored to the needs of each couple. Together we come to an agreement to the content of the session. 

The course is not only theoretical. We also exercise postures, breathing and massage.

• How can each partner support the other and make a good team. 

• How to communicate well with the healthcare professionals

• What can you do yourself to make the birth of your baby as comfortabel as possibles

• How can you stimulate the necessary effective birth hormones

• Contraction, pain and relaxation, how to handle these facets

• Position during childbirth

• Massage

• Birth of your baby. First contact and bonding between parents and child

• What to do if the delivery doesn’t go as planned

• Nurture, the first time and the weeks follow

• Recovery after childbirth

• Lots of practical tips

Sessions last approx. 2,5 - 3 hours.

We have a preliminary interview by phone and aftercare contact 3 weeks after the due date.
